SPiiDERMAN...
The genre of this film is action. This shot is from the film Spiderman. Spiderman is a fictional character first who first appeared in comics. Spiderman was created by Stan lee and artist Steve Dikto.
This particular shot is a Medium shot showing the two main characters Spiderman and venom (Tobey Mguire and Topher Grace). Although it shows both of the main characters it zooms into Spiderman more, with all the attention on him showing the audience that he is the star of the movie. The film Spiderman follows the action conventions of having a 'good guy' who wants to save the world, and a 'bad guy' who wants to stop him.
The Venom wears a black costume to connote the idea of Danger and Death, whereas Spiderman is wearing a bright red costume which connotes Saviour and Hero. The reason why they are wearing these colours is to give the audience an idea of danger and mystery.

This shot shows the two main characters Tyler Gage and Nora Clark (Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan) as the stars of the show. The film follows the tale of the disadvantaged Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) and the modern dancer Nora Clark (Jenna Dewan), who find themselves paired up in a showcase that determines both of their futures. Realizing that they only have one chance, they finally work together. The film follows the romance conventions of having two people who fall in love. In this image they look calm and but serious this idea is connoted by their body languages.
They also wear normally clothes to connote the idea of everyday life. The reason why they are wearing those clothes is to give the audience the idea of normalityand maybe excitment.
BRiiDE OF CHUCKY...
Bride of Chucky is a 1998 horror film directed by Ronny Yu. The film stars Jennifer Tilly (who plays and voices Tiffany) and Brad Dourif (who voices Chucky). This shot shows the main character Chucky (Brad Dourif). Chucky has scars all over his face to connote the idea of pain. The reason why he has scars all over his face is to give the audiences an idea of the film.Here he looks serious and dangerous this idea is connoted by the axe he is holding and his facial expressions.

Fantastic ! a great piece of work here that show great knowledge and understanding of both genre and connotations. Well done. Perhaps a couple mroe screenshots and anlysis could improve this. Great start
